# Text (TMP)

### Description

A Text (TMP) [OverNode](/over-sdk-manual/over-visual-scripting-legacy/visual-scripting-essentials/overnode.md) is used to display text in the scene. The difference with the [Text](/over-sdk-manual/over-visual-scripting-legacy/nodes/components/ui/text.md) node is that to use this one the User needs to install the [TextMeshPro](https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/com.unity.textmeshpro.html) Unity Plugin.

#### Text Exposer

This [OverNode](/over-sdk-manual/over-visual-scripting-legacy/visual-scripting-essentials/overnode.md) is used to expose certain parameters and attributes of a given input Unity3D [TextMeshProUGUI](https://docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.unity.textmeshpro@1.0/api/TMPro.TextMeshProUGUI.html) Component, which are:

This [OverNode](/over-sdk-manual/over-visual-scripting-legacy/visual-scripting-essentials/overnode.md) is used to modify an existing TextMeshPro Component, by setting its text to be shown.
