OVRLand and OVRMap (VPS)
In this section, you can manage the publication of your experiences in virtual spaces. It starts with two tabs that allow you to select either an OVRLand or an OVRMap, each serving a different purpose in creating and testing your projects.
OVRLand
In this tab, you can choose from your existing OVRLands to publish your experience. If you do not own any OVRLand or you want to test your experience before going live, you can use the Workspace. The Workspace allows you to run your experience in a designated test area that simulates the behavior of a live environment without actually using an owned OVRLand.
OVRMaps
Once you have selected an OVRLand (or the Workspace), you can move to the OVRMaps tab. Here, you can choose from the available OVRMaps associated with the selected OVRLand. If you are using the Workspace, you will see a list of all your OVRMaps to test within this workspace environment.
By activating an OVRMap, you enable the VPS (Visual Positioning System). The VPS uses the mapping data from your OVRMap to accurately position your 3D assets in the real world. Users of the app will be precisely relocated within the experience thanks to this technology, ensuring that all elements of your scene are aligned with real-world locations.
This feature is crucial for experiences where spatial accuracy is important, allowing you to integrate digital content seamlessly into physical spaces.
