Over Land Mapping

The Over SDK allows the content creator to define the tracking modalities of the AR experience. The most precise technique provides a pre-scan of the OVRLand with the help of the mobile Over app. The OVRLand mapper is a community member that generates a 3D map of an OVRLand by taking pictures of the physical location. Such activity will generate two main assets: a 3D point cloud of the location that will be used to position assets in space, and a fine-tuned Neural Network that will allow for localization in space with 20 Cm accuracy. Finally, implementing the latest AI techniques, it will also be possible to use the raw data (≈300 pictures per OVRLand) to create flight through animations and even complete meshes of the location.
