OvrGeneralSettings

Description

OvrGeneralSettings is the component responsible for setting up some general settings of the OVER Experience to be published.

Since AR experiences can be viewed on-site (content placed or geolocalized on the relevant OVRLand) or remotely and the preferred behaviour can differ, the settings are divided into two sections: AR Experience Settings and Remote Experience Settings.

Occlusion Settings

Here there are three types of occlusion that can be enabled in the experience. All are available separately for both the AR and Remote Experience. Each type of occlusion setting, when selected, has another parameter that can be set if the user wants to have that type of occlusion enabled automatically at the start of the experience.

On Android smartphones it is only possible to enable the Environment Occlusion.

On all iOS smartphones it is possible to enable Human Occlusion.

On iOS smartphones with Lidar only, it's possible to enable Mesh Occlusion.

See the Occlusion Settings section for more details about how this impacts the user experience in the App.

Walk Mode

Walk Mode setting allows the user to toggle walk mode on and off with a button. It is only available in the Remote Experience section because in the AR Experience section it is enabled by default and it can’t be toggled off.

See the Walk Mode section for more details about how this impacts the user experience in the App.
